Skarrild

Water runs over water through Skarrild aqueduct. Dalgas Canal was built as part of the important meadow irrigation project in 1872. Dalgas Canal runs four metres over Lystrup Brook.

At Skarrild, there is an old grocer’s shop, the old town hall (which houses the tourist information office) and a memorial to commemorate the airmen who fell in the Second World War. You can canoe and get a wonderful views of Skjern River from the water.
